It hit me like a ton of bricks and knocked the wind and dreams I had for myself and my family right out the window. The next few days, weeks, and months felt like a double edged sword. I didn’t know that feelings of fear and joy could coexist…. and then Miles came and my heart knew him and loved him more than I knew was physically possible.
